About Heavy Duty HVLS Fans

Available in various specifications, these have a range of 8 feet to 24 feet & are powered by a 2HP motor operating at a maximum speed of 103 RPM. The HVLS fans are ideal to ventilate large areas; with the largest HVLS fans fit for an area of 20-25 thousand square feet.

HVLS Industrial Fans provide long term incremental power savings. Typically for an area of around 20-25 thousand square feet, around 25 normal sized fans would be required. Assuming that each fan has a motor of 0.75 HP, the total power consumption would be to the tune of 18 HP per hour. Comparing it with the 2 HP motor of these fans, one can easily discern the power savings accorded by HVLS fans.

A common misconception that people have about fans is that they provide a cooling effect. The truth is fans do not provide any such effect, what they basically do is to circulate the air. Heavy Duty HVLS Fans are designed to effectively do this. Owing to their large diameter, these fans make sure that the air is circulated even in the minutest corners of a facility, with the cooler air being circulated on the floor while the hot air is moved up towards the roof.

Although relatively new in India, the high volume low speed fans are widely preferred in western countries. These can be found across large industrial facilities, airports, warehouses, hospitals, retail outlets in Europe and the United states.

HVLS Industrial Fans are available in sizes ranging from 8 feet to 24 feet in diameter and with 1 HP/1.5HP/2HP motors( both 1 phase and 3 phase options available).
When used with HVAC systems, these further reduce total energy consumption.
These also ensure the floor condensation is kept to an absolute minimum, thus keeping the floor drier and making the facility safer for foot and motorized traffic.
During winter, these fans can also run in reverse mode, thus circulating hot air around the facility.
It also improve the overall indoor air quality by dispersing fumes.
All of the above will enable a facility to raise their thermostat setting by 3 to 5 degrees, thus ensuring more energy savings.
